MBU-5/P Oxygen Mask, Vietnam War era

The AVOX Systems MBU-5/P crew oxygen mask (predecessor of the MBU-12/P) features an exterior hard shell with large edge radius and a silicone rubber face piece that remains soft and pliable at extremely high temperatures as well as at temperatures below -40°F. It meets and exceeds all pertinent quality, reliability, and performance requirements of the U.S. Department of Defense . The MBU-5/P provides pressure breathing through an improved combination inhalation/exhalation valve with enhanced reliability, a silicone rubber hose assembly, and a truly effective face seal, while providing a comfortable fit.
