(Description copied from official document FQ/PD 07-03D) The X Small Arms Protective Insert (XSAPI) worn by ground troops. When placed in the Outer Tactical Vest (OTV) / Improved Outer Tactical Vest (OTV / IOTV) or Soldier Plate Carrier System (SPCS) (as a component of the Interceptor Body Armor (IBA) system) the insert will provide ballistic protection from specific 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm rifle rounds.   Stock Number Reference:
