(Description from archived official online store) Often copied, but never equaled, the Training/Coverage medical backpack is LBT’s premier advanced life support (ALS) pack. Designed to the exacting standards required by Naval Special Warfare medics, it has time and again proven to be the best pack of its kind available. It’s unique design, utilizing two large main compartments, allows the user to access all of their lifesaving equipment with a minimum of fuss. Unique to this pack are two “pull out” bags, with color coded handles, in the rear compartment. One is designed to carry a full airway/intubation kit, and the other is heavily padded with 1 1/2″ closed cell foam on each side for safely storing medications, whether they be preloaded syringes or ampoules. Smaller pockets, pouches and elastic loops are supplied throughout for storing a variety of instruments, bandages and dressings. A large pocket, with drawstring closure, is ideal for storing intravenous injectable solutions. There is also an
interior pocket for using a hydration bladder. Padded adjustable shoulder straps are also equipped with load levelers for added comfort. Constructed using 1000 denier Dupont© Cordura©. Currently in use by Naval Special Warfare, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, various EOD units, as well as civilian mountain rescue units. Well over 2,500 of this family of backpacks are currently in service.
